Workshop Overview
This workshop is about exploring the Relational Circles framework, a pedagogical tool for Teaching Content (IP and non IP) while building HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS and developing SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SKILLS in students. This workshop will aim to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to begin and sustain Relational Circles successfully in the classroom and school settings.
Learning Outcomes
•Understanding the concept and framework of Relational Circles
•Demonstration and Experience of a Circles session
•Understanding the spectrum of Relational Circles from building relationships to addressing issues such as friendship, bullying
•Understanding how Relational Circles framework can be integrated into your existing programs - FTGP, CCE21, CCA, PAL and IP lessons
•Facilitation skills on managing and effectively executing a Relational Circles session
o Working with students (including SEN
students)
o Managing the dynamics of the class/group
o Drawing out the learning from a Circles session
•Incorporating visual based resources
•Implementation
o Integrating Relational Circles into the whole school culture
